By close of business on 2nd January 1904 Birmingham County Borough Council had registered 208 cars and 200 motorcycles.
O 1 was originally issued to Arthur Issacs of Birmingham. He was in the jewellery business and also had premises in Hatton Garden. The plate was thought to have stayed in the family until 2020 when Arthurs daughter Yvonne Salmmon sold it.
The current owner is known and based in the Midlands.
O 2 was originally issued to a Singer motorbike. It remained on that bike until 1935 when both the bike and plate were bought by mechanic Rhodes Shute for 10 shillings with the intention to restore it. However, the number was reissued in the 1950's on the assumption that the original vehicle was scrapped, Rhodes only found this out when he had finished restoring the Singer and went to tax it.
The plate was assigned to the Ferrari is 1999.

O 4 was originally issued to Cecil Brinton of Moor Hall, Stourport-on-Severn and was issued to a car he had built himself. Over the years it was transferred to various vehicles, the last of which was a car he called White Knight, named because it was White and had a Knight engine. In the late 1920's it was parked in a garage and left there until three years after Cecils death in 1970. It changed hands a few times but it was Bill Hutton who eventually restored the vehicle and in 1988 showed it to the Brintons', it was Cecil's grandson Michael that decided it belonged to the family so bought it.
In late 2020 it changed hands and the current owner is known and based in the Midlands.
