V x plates were originally issued by Lanarkshire County Council, all x V plates are DVLA auction sales

By close of business on 2nd January 1904 Lanark County Borough Council had registered 57 cars and 17 motorcycles.

V 0 was created for the Lord Provost of Strathclyde Regional Council.

V 1 was originally issued to James Burns of Dalziel and registered to a Daimler. At some point it was allowed to lapse but was revived in the 1950's. At one point a resident of Surrey owned V 1, V 2 and V 3. It was then bought by Rolls Royce dealer Jack Alpe.

Now owned by Peter Virdee of London.
