P x plates were originally issued by Surrey County Council, all x P plates* are DVLA auction sales. 2 P is not an auction plate but its history is not known

By close of business on 24th June 1904 Surry County Council had registered 752 cars and 720 motorcycles.

P 1 was originally issued to Francis Howell of Oxshott. He was the Borough Surveyor, and this no doubt helped him securing the plate. The number was revivied at some point by Commander P Lancaster and placed on his 1915 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost.

P 2 originally issued to Major Kingsley Foster of Redhill and registered to a Arial

Current owner who is based in London bought the plate in 2021 and placed it on their very rare Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato

P 3 originally issued to Major Kingsley Foster of Redhill and registered to a Arial

P 5

P 6, owned by a gentleman in Suffolk and recently sold.

P 7, currently owned by Douglas Park in Glasgow. They also own D 8 and G 8.

1 P was sold by DVLA in 1996 for 65K

2 P, a number issued by DVLA to a private individual in the early 90 s, exact reasons unknown but more than likely a mistake was made by DVLA which invalided their plate and as compensation a plate of equal value was issued. This would indicate that somehow DVLA invalidated a different 1x1.

3 P was sold by DVLA in 1993 for 9K

4 P was sold by DVLA in 1994 for 9K

5 P was sold by DVLA in 1992 for 13K

Owned by the current owner in Birmingham since 2002.

6 P was sold by DVLA in 1993 for 8K

7 P was sold by DVLA in 1994 for 10K

8 P was sold by DVLA in 1994 for 8K

9 P was sold by DVLA in 1993 for 7K
